Health Canada has developed a public list of hard-surface disinfectants that are likely to be effective and may be used against SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.Several of Clorox disinfectants are in that list including Clorox Commercial Solutions Clorox Germicidal Bleach (DIN 02459108).
Clorox Commercial Solutions Clorox Germicidal Bleach protects against SARS-CoV-2 based on Health Canada’s emerging viral pathogen guidance
Per the respective emerging viral pathogen guidances, Clorox Commercial Solutions Clorox Germicidal Bleach has demonstrated effectiveness against Poliovirus (Health Canada) and Rhinovirus (EPA) on hard, nonporous surfaces. Based on Health Canada and EPA emerging viral pathogen guidance, it can be used against SARS-CoV-2 when used in accordance with the directions for use against Poliovirus and Rhinovirus.
Please note, Health Canada is allowing, under interim measures, US labeled products. Thus you may find the Clorox Commercial Solutions Clorox Germicidal Bleach in US packaging under the brand name: CloroxPro® Clorox Germicidal Bleach.
